The 2026 midterms are shaping up to be historic, in large part due to the massive voter mobilization and energy on the side of the Democrats. If the 2025 elections taught us anything, it’s that not only are Democrats mad as hell- but they’re coming out in tremendous numbers to vote. Much more than Republicans are, who are very clearly dealing with a serious enthusiasm problem.
But Democrats aren’t just voting. They are electing and supporting candidates who are true political outsiders. Just look at the wave of fresh new faces around the country who are stepping up to run for office.
On this episode of The Siren Podcast, Jo Carducci is joined by Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, one of the nation’s largest organizations dedicated to defeating Trump and supporting progressive leaders. Indivisible was responsible for this past month’s No Kings Day 2.0 (as well as the first event).
Ezra and Jo get into all the latest about the Democratic Party, including Indivisible’s new campaign to only support candidates who have called on Senator Chuck Schumer to step aside, and the widespread disconnect between rank-and-file Democrats and their leadership, emphasizing the need for grassroots activism to demand new leaders who will effectively represent the party’s base. Ezra also calls for a collective effort to elect leaders who have the strength to step up to the Trump regime.
All this and more, right here on The Siren Network.
