After a disastrous Judiciary Committee performance that ended her tenure as Attorney General, Pam Bondi is now actively evading a Congressional Subpoena, to avoid testifying about her handling of the DOJ’s Jeffrey Epstein files.
Bondi was slated to appear at the deposition on April 14th, 2026, meaning it has now been over a week since she refused to show up for the deposition.
Congressman Jared Moskowitz joins us on this episode of The Siren Podcast to discuss this insane new story. On the topic of Bondi’s refusal to abide by the subpoena, Moskowitz tells us: “If she isn’t willing to show, I think they’re going to have no choice but to hold her in contempt. And look, she could lose her law license if she’s found in contempt of Congress.”
When the Clintons testified on the Epstein files back in February, James Comer, the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, was giddy at the idea of holding them in Contempt of Congress. But now, when Pam Bondi is actively evading a Congressional Subpoena, he’s gone radio silent.
At every turn, Donald Trump has attempted to strong-arm members of Congress who were looking to do the right thing and fight for accountability. At one point, Rep. Lauren Boebert was summoned into the Situation Room to try and pressure her out of voting ‘Yes’ on the Epstein Files discharge petition. The White House then said a vote to release the files would be considered a hostile act against Trump.
Pam Bondi’s mishandling of the Epstein Files has been a downright disgrace, to say the least. Not only is it a stain on our justice system within the United States, but for the survivors who so bravely spoke out against their abusers and demanded action.
Still today, Pam Bondi has refused to answer why a binder full of supposed Epstein documents were handed out to MAGA Twitter influencers. Or why Trump called the files a “hoax.” Or why the names of co-conspirators were redacted. Or why Kash Patel declared that Epstein only trafficked his victims to himself. Or a million other incomprehensible statements and actions that must be explained.
All of this is very fitting for the “most transparent administration in U.S. history.” All this and more, right here on The Siren Network.
