Get Fake Science Out of Politics

A conversations with Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark

Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark is a mom, microbiologist, professor, and Georgia State Representative. She’s proof of what it means to bring a science lens into policymaking: reading bills with a researcher’s eye, asking real questions, and challenging misinformation — whether it’s COVID graphs, climate denial, or vaccine disinformation. As she puts it, “Policy doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We live in an ecosystem, and a sick society affects us all.”

Now, Jasmine is running for Congress to ensure voices like hers — informed, analytical, unapologetically pro-science — are at the table. With the rise of anti-science rhetoric and public health rollbacks, her leadership is more urgent than ever.
