A man from Missouri was President when I was born. Read his biography written by his daughter to see how he had to fight to keep America on track for the American people.

The American people are what America is. The Revolution was against a King who took all the money and the credit, and gave the people shit.

That was 250 years ago and is pretty much the same today. The American people will have to join together to continue building a nation for the people. So it will be by the people and not because of some broken wannabe King.

That conversation about the stark difference between PATRIOTISM and NATIONALISM was remarkable, and something I will come back to again and again over this weekend. The 250th birthday of the founding of this beautifully diverse country is something I’m extremely proud to celebrate. I honorably served in the US Air Force from 8/1/1973 to 8/1/1982. I buried my 100% disabled veteran husband in 1986. We served BECAUSE we were patriotic, we believed in the oath we took and honored that oath faithfully.

Thank you Governor Wes Moore for your powerful words and your leadership. I live in Texas and boy oh boy do I wish we had a governor like Wes Moore!

Happy 250th America 🇺🇸
