I am urging independent journalists on Substack to reconsider continuing to host or promote Michael Cohen on Lives or similar platforms without first demanding full on-the-record accountability.
Cohen recently used Substack to allege that New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg coerced him into providing testimony against Donald Trump. These claims come from a witness who has admitted under oath to repeated lies, served federal prison time for fraud-related crimes, acknowledged stealing from his former client, and was widely characterized during trial as discredited. His own statements show his cooperation with prosecutors was motivated, at least in part, by the hope of personal benefit.
These facts alone warrant serious editorial skepticism.
More critically, Michael Cohen’s name appears in the Epstein files, an issue of profound public importance that remains unaddressed. What did he know, and when did he know it? Why was he in discussions with the Department of Justice regarding a Rule 35 motion, seeking a reduced sentence in exchange for substantial assistance, if he possessed no relevant information? These are not rhetorical questions; they go directly to accountability, transparency, and justice for Epstein’s victims.
Independent journalists who continue to platform Mr. Cohen without pressing these questions risk enabling silence where clarity is owed. In matters involving Epstein and his network, neutrality is not achieved through avoidance. If Mr. Cohen has relevant knowledge, it is imperative that he disclose it fully. Continued evasion risks the public perception of complicity by omission.

Michael Cohen is who he has always been. He is not a credible source of anything approximating truth. He is a coward who runs for cover wherever he can find it. He made dumb choices during his service to Trump and is trying to recast his willing participation.
