Interestingly enough in Canada we have to register to vote, we receive a card with the area we have to go to vote and we have to show ID at the Voting Station when we arrive and then given the voting cards to mark off in private who we are voting for.
That’s not quite true about Canada. Being resisted makes it easy, but you can show up with ID and register on the spot, or have someone vouch for you on the spot.
It seems quite reasonable that some sort of proof is required to vote.
