What a fabulous chat with JoJo. She is truly one of the movers of our resistance, and the depth of her commitment and knowledge is unsurpassed. I loved this "interview."

I would like to offer some honest heartfelt suggestions for theSiren. I think you have a great opportunity to help motivate the people who want to defeat the authoritarian takeover of our country.

When I first heard about theSiren, I thought “Finally! A counter to Faux Snuze!”

I thought this would be a place to counter the lies and false narratives that have captivated so many people … sadly even my sister. I was hoping to hear solutions and about the resistance. Simply, I was hoping for some hope.

But, this episode fell flat for me, respectfully.

I think this channel could be a huge force for change if only you would spend your energies on shining a light on the people taking on the MAGA Machine. Not just with angry memes, but with actions. Bring them on the show and let everybody hear from them first hand.

I’m talking about groups like Indivisible, Stand Up for Science, Citizens Assemblies, This will Hold, etc. (eg. Was the 2024 election hacked? And how can it be reversed?)

I want to hear directly from the representatives and governors (yes you did interview Newsome👏) who are doing things to resist.

I would love to see you interview Stephen Colbert about what Paramount did, and emphasize what he plans to do next.

Please recognize that your voices can be used for more than self-congratulating gab sessions and rehashing all the shit Republicans are doing. We already know all that.

We the people need to hear about the people who are taking real actions. We need to hear about solutions. We need motivation and hope.

I’m hoping we can find it here at theSiren.

Joanne you are still young and beautiful. When you get to be my age (73) you can start saying you are older than dirt. I bet you will still be quite beautiful then.

I have my story: I am white, male, not much success either financially or romantically, and was in my mid 50s when Trump descended that elevator (I apologize for that reminder). Other words prime target for the Trump con. But I didn't fall for it. When he attacked Mexicans in that first speech I was turned off immediately.

I will change the image of what many people see a poor white male to be, which is a MAGA and a moron. Well I am neither and I would like to come on your podcast to prove it.

Love the conversation. Speaking of Louisiana Democrats, Speaker Mike Johnson has never had any sort of opponent. He has run unopposed for every election! How is that possible? Don’t we have a charismatic moderate Dem who could at least challenge him….Maybe they won’t win right away, but maybe next time. What is wrong with the Dems at the top for letting that disgusting little man just basically elect himself??

Better yet, a progressive can unseat him & get to work for the people instead our “wanna be king” poser.
