I am so happy you had this discussion today with the awe-inspiring Congressman Jamie Raskin, who's vast knowledge of the Constitution and Law is overwhelming! I am grateful to congresspeople and senators who understand and communicate the complex issues of our times, and I am especially glad when these elected officials are so transparent and honest, with the integrity we deserve and desperately need right now.
The ones who are actively standing for the Rule of Law and The Constitution have been a huge lifesaver for so many of us as they continue to speak out against those who would turn our republic into an authoritarian or kleptocratic form of government.
Their strong and vocal ethical standards are unassailable.
These are the ones who will be shown in history to be the "Keepers of the Democratic Republic that is The United States of America" and Americans is owe them more than can ever be paid. They have my eternal gratitude.
