Good evening, everyone! It’s Sam Schwartz from The Siren. I just got back home from an incredible No Kings protest here in Boston, filled with hope, joy, activism, and a ton of creative signs!
Early estimates put the Boston No Kings rally alone at over 100,000 attendees. To my knowledge, there is not a general consensus yet on how many people marched today across the globe, but with a record number of 3,300+ events planned internationally, (which is around 500 more than the October 2025 No Kings rallies), it’s fair to assume today’s protests will end up as the largest in U.S. history.
I spoke to Bostonians about what motivated them to show up to today’s rally, who or what they’re fighting for (or against), and much more. Donald Trump and his MAGA goons must be watching footage of today’s record-breaking protests across the nation and shaking in their boots. Yesterday, the news of yet another Republican retirement echoed throughout Washington D.C., (Missouri Congressman Sam Graves, dealing a blow to Trump’s power. It’s the latest sign, along with Trump’s rapidly falling approval ratings and support among men, independents, Latinos, and young people, that Republicans are in serious trouble as we approach November.
