While Midas Touch is primarily white and male I appreciate that they are continuing to expand their partnerships. Like with Katie Phang or Dr Vin Gupta for Meidas Health.
Considering how new all this is and how recent it is that politicians even agree to be on these shows is a huge amount of progress. A year ago Midas could barely get anyone to agree to be interviewed by them. Maybe guest spots & interviews are how other channels start to build a base? I feel like just writing that off is ignoring how long it takes for these things to grow & how exposure is a necessary component of growth. The way this article positions itself it's like progress is not good enough & we should already be doing something we just started better. Maybe the article could have highlighted some minority creators that produced similar content to what is already breaking through? Rather than just point out everyone else is doing it wrong.
Follow Egberto Egberto Willies here, who started on Daily Kos, and has branched out. Met him at Netroots Nation in 2019. Has Energizer Bunny energy. Also, check out whomever he reads. Denise Oliver Velez is still based on Daily Kos. Former Black Panther, was president of the Young Lords in New York. Must read.
As is par for the course w/ dems they’re heavy on far left folks. They must also reach an audience that’s left to center left as well as POC. Bobby Jones, Adrian Carrasquillo, Brooklyn Dad all could be seen as left/center.
Failure to diversify their makeup dooms them to being Air America all over again.
Heather was pictured, but according to what I have read, she was left out of the conversation. Not sure why. But you are right, not diverse enough, not enough females either. I agree with Beki start sharing some and ask your followers to share them. Create some noise.
Agreed. Share your favorites here so we can all follow them and bring attention to their voices.

Wajahat Ali with The Left Hook and Danielle Moodie of The DAM Digest do great work, too.

Why don't we all figure out what we did that got us Obama. And no excuses why we can't do that now.
Great points…
