Every week now, a new clip is released of Joe Rogan, the most powerful and well-known podcaster in the world, scolding and criticizing Donald Trump.
Of course, it was Rogan who less than a year ago, on the eve of the 2024 election, endorsed Trump. Rogan tweeted, “[Elon Musk] makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way. For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump.”
Cut to less than a year later, and Rogan is not so thrilled with how Trump 2.0 has turned out. On his recent podcast, Rogan had the following to say about Trump’s brutal immigration policies: “Let’s just talk about the immigration thing,” Rogan said. “The way it looks is horrific.”
“When you’re just arresting people in front of their kids, and just, normal, regular people who have been here for 20 years. That everybody who has a heart can’t get along with that. Everybody who has a heart sees that and goes, ‘That can’t be right,’ Rogan said.
“I did not ever anticipate seeing that on TV on a regular basis,” Rogan said. “I really thought they were just going to go after the criminals.”
If only there was a candidate who said again and again that Trump was going to do exactly what he’s doing now. Oh wait, there was.
