Trump’s Rampage Just Crossed The Line

Trump is directing his Attorney General and the DOJ to investigate Democratic candidates.

On Wednesday, the news broke that Kat Abughazaleh, a Democratic candidate for Congress in Illinois District 9, along with two other political candidates, were charged with a federal indictment by Trump’s Department of Justice for opposing ICE. This comes after Kat was violently shoved to the ground by ICE agents in Chicago.

Trump, along with his Attorney General Pam Bondi, have proven they are wholly uninterested in seeking actual justice, but rather, pursuing politically motivated indictments aimed at Trump’s political opponents or enemies.

People like NY AG Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey, former National Security Advisor John Bolton, and a long list of other notable figures, have all been charged with indictments by the Trump DOJ after they either publicly criticized Trump, attempted to hold Trump accountable, or Trump directed Bondi (via Truth Social) to start the investigations.

This is just the latest example of Trump’s authoritarian takeover of the U.S. Justice System. Trump himself has evaded complete accountability for the crimes that he allegedly committed, as all of the investigations into him were dropped as soon as he won the 2024 election.

And thanks to the Supreme Court, Trump is presumptively immune from criminal liability for his official acts. He’s now pardoning criminals who donated to his crypto operation or fund him left and right, as the actual heroes who attempted to hold Trump accountable now face a legal scenario straight out of Russia.
