Trump’s $14 million no-bid reflecting pool has turned out to be a disaster. What was initially promised to be “American flag blue” has quickly turned into neon green, with algae infested waters killing wildlife and stinking up the entire Lincoln Memorial area.
Crews dumping hydrogen peroxide into the water in a mad-dash effort to kill the algae were met with floating chunks of blue paint, and pouring rainwater quickly replenished the water that workers were trying to cleanse from the area. A furious Trump declared, without any evidence, that Antifa protestors had cut a 350-foot “slit” into the bottom of the reflecting pool in an effort to destroy his beautification efforts, with MAGA mouthpiece Karoline Leavitt backing up the outlandish claim on Fox News.
Trump has now resorted to sending the national guard onto the grounds of the reflecting pool to stop… nothing? The vandals that Trump is convinced are haunting the memorial are completely non-existent. The only person Trump has to blame for the state of the reflecting pool, and the entirety of Washington D.C., which has now been razed to the ground after Trump’s manic “restoration” projects, is himself.
