BREAKING: Trump Says Iran War is Over As Missiles Continue To Fly

The Trump administration has stated that “Operation Epic Fury is over.” But in reality, things look a bit different. Missiles are still flying in the region. A concrete ceasefire has not been signed between parties, while both the U.S. and Iran claim they control the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump keeps threatening Iran with “more bombing” if a deal is not reached soon. That doesn’t sound like the war is over to us. If a victory for Donald Trump and Republicans can even be attained from this disastrous war, it will be getting back to the Obama-era JCPOA that Trump himself ripped up during his first term.

Trump’s messaging surrounding this war has been continuously confusing, shifting, and downright disrespectful at times. At a Dignified Transfer for a U.S. soldier killed as a result of Trump’s actions in Iran, Trump wore a political baseball hat while doing a fist bump.

Trump’s allies and members of his Cabinet are clearly not on the same page. At times, his Secretary of State and Vice President offer diametrically opposed analyses of the Iran War, changing positions within mere hours.

Just yesterday, Trump went from declaring that the fragile ceasefire signed with Iran was holding, to saying that U.S. military operations in Iran were over, to finally threatening to bomb Iran if a deal wasn’t signed soon. At the same time, Marco Rubio told reporters Tuesday that the war was “over” and that U.S. military operations had been achieved. Two seconds later, Rubio said Donald Trump was still looking for a “path to peace” with the Iranians.

Jo and BDD also discuss the Republican plan to charge U.S. taxpayers $1 billion to build Trump’s gold-plated Victorian-style ballroom for his billionaire friends. In addition, they discuss Kevin Hassett’s shocking admission that “Credit card spending is through the roof. [People are] spending more on gasoline, but they’re spending more on everything else too.”

Plus, Joel Rubin joins us on this episode of The Jo & BDD Show, to discuss all things Iran related. Make sure to check out Joel’s new book on this subject!
