BREAKING: Trump Says High Gas Prices Are “Patriotic”??

Great midterm message, Donald. No notes.

Trump’s bombing of Iran has resulted (predictably) in skyrocketing oil and gas prices throughout the United States, due to Iran’s closing of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Trump White House says they didn’t anticipate gas prices being affected, because they’re unqualified clowns who have no business running the federal government. Trump, who thinks of himself as a “master politician” and messenger, has delivered quite a number of gaffes that will no doubt be used in hundreds of negative campaign ads against him in the midterms. Just today, he posted his latest unhinged rant on Truth Social, saying higher gas prices are actually good because the Big Oil companies (his friends) make more money, at the expensive of Americans.

For any other normal, or rational administration, this type of message would be the death knell of the party’s electoral chances. But for Donald Trump, it’s just another Thursday, because MAGA is a feverish cult of personality centered around a mentally unstable sociopath.

Trump isn’t the only MAGA politician making ridiculous statements to the press about rising prices. Republican Senator (and ultra-wealthy millionaire) Rick Scott said yesterday that “Prices are gonna be up for a while.” 10/10 message, Rick. Trump’s own Department of Energy admitted that gas prices won’t fall back to pre-Iran war levels until mid-2027, long after the upcoming November midterms.

In other words, Trump made a massive political miscalculation in his impulsive ego brandishing decision to go to war in Iran, and if there is a free and fair election in 2026, he will certainly pay the price.
